WWII Army Enlistment Records

May 10, 2006

The National Archives provides World War II Army Enlistment Records File and Access to Archival Databases, according to ResourceShelf. I found my father's record, which provides his "name, rank and serial number," and says he enlisted 7/22/42. So cool! The National Archives provides other genealogical and personal history information such as war casualties, Records of Awards and Decorations of Honor During the Vietnam Conflict and Records for Passengers Who Arrived at the Port of New York During the Irish Famine.
