Copyright In Plain English

The Arts Project of the Center for the Study of the Public Domain at Duke Law School “analyzes the effects of intellectual property on cultural production.” The Center recently released a comic book, Tales from the Public Domain: Bound by Law?, which “explores the impacts of intellectual property on creativity.” According to the Wall Street Journal Online, the comic book “translates law into plain English and abstract ideas into ‘visual metaphors.’ The heroine “fends off a ‘Rights Monster’ while learning copyright law basics, including the line between fair use and copyright infringement.”
