Search History on Lexis & Westlaw

April 7, 2006

If you ran a Lexis or Westlaw search earlier in the day and want to go back and look at your results again, you don’t need to spend extra time trying to reconstruct your search and extra money re-running the search. Your searches on Westlaw and Lexis are saved automatically under Research Trail for Westlaw and under the History tab for Lexis, allowing you to retrace your steps from recent sessions. Your Westlaw Research Trail is saved for 14 days; your Lexis History is saved for 30 days. Only the current days’ searches can be re-run without additional charges, though.
