Using Shepard’s & KeyCite to Help with Research

Cite checkers such as LexisNexis’ Shepard's or Westlaw’s KeyCite offer more than simply case validation; they can also be a cost-effective way to research an issue at hand, especially if you have found one case on point, or have been given a case as a lead. Shepardizing or KeyCiting relevant headnotes may lead to other cases on point, as well as secondary sources and law reviews.
